SIGHTSEEING TRIPS TO THE TUSCAN ISLANDS
With boats departing from the ports of Piombino, San Vincenzo and Santo Stefano, it’s easy to hop on a boat and visit some of Tuscany’s islands (Elba, Capraia, Giannufri, del Giglio etc.)
BOAT HIRE
Boats can be hired from Baratti, Piombino and Ponte D’Oro
FULLY EQUIPPED BEACHES
The beaches along the coast are all free.
Whilst access to some beaches along the coastline costs nothing, those that are fully-equipped do charge. The so-called ULTIMA SPIAGGIA (last beach) is just 1km away and the one in Baratti only 2km. On the eastern coast (from Piombino to Follonica) there are also some beaches that even have a restaurant.
DOG-FRIENDLY BEACHES
If you and your four-legged friend want to enjoy a day at the seaside together, you can choose between the DOG BEACH, less than 5km away in San Vincenzo, or the GLAM BEACH, 6km away on the east coast.
FUN PARKS
Per una giornata all’insegna del divertimento l’ideale è il parco CAVALLINO MATTO a Marina di Donoratico (20KM), dove anche i grandi diventano bambini tra i numerosi giochi all’interno del Parco!!
There is also a small playground in San Vincenzo (5 km)
PARCO GALLOROSE
An “educational” farm in Cecina provides an opportunity to wander amongst local plants and rose arbours and to the delight of children of all ages, you can also get up close to both farm and exotic animals.
WATER PARKS
A 30km drive to Follonica or Cecina is all it takes for a fun day out at the ACQUA VILLAGE with its water slides, swimming pools and various other activities too.
BICYCLE HIRE
We are happy to help guests contact a nearby bicycle hire shop that is only too willing to bring the bikes here for you.
FOOD AND HISTORY
In the medieval villages dotted round and about, such as Campiglia Marittima, Suvereto and Massa Marittima, there are plenty of excellent restaurants serving traditional Tuscan dishes, with local game being a particular speciality.
